SE: Lain - ep.13 Genga

If Lain had to be summed up in a few words, one scene in the series does it nicely-- and that is the existence monologue Lain presents to the audience in the intro to the last episode, layer 13: Ego.
When ABe (character designer/key animator) was asked what Lain was essentially about, he explained that (bottom line) it was about figuring out who you are in life through the eyes of a young adolescent girl. Despite the obvious complicated philosophies, theories, and computer lingo that goes flying, the heart of the anime is just that.
"Who am I? Who is Lain?"
The sequence was entirely cg so being able to fortunately acquire the complete set (132 full gengas in total - keys drawn by ABe himself) was a huge joy for cel-senpai.
